Lever/Pad

When you are choosing a new set of upvc lever pad door handles it is essential to ensure that they correspond to the PZ (distance between the spindle of the handle and the center of the hole for the cylinder) of your existing multipoint door locks, as these need to be in the same line to allow doors to remain locked, whether from the inside or the outside. You'll need to remove your handles that you have already installed and then dismantle the lock case if you're upgrading to dual spindle handle levers because this will require an additional split cylinder inline. You can purchase these separately. We have included a technical diagram in the images of each product.

Lever/Lever

Once you have located the hole for accessing the detent or pin, you can take it out using an screwdriver.
Once the handle has been placed horizontally, you can put back the screws. Tighten them to ensure that the handle remains firmly attached to the base plate. It is also advisable to apply a threadlocking adhesive to the screw threads to improve the grip and stop them from loosing over time.
Drooping lever door handles could be the result of many factors. The most common cause is that the fixings are too tight and the lever bearing to pull against the door. It could also be that the levers have not been operated at a right angle, which stretches the latch mechanism and prevents it from fully springing into motion.
Another reason is that the lever that is sprung is not functioning properly and this is typically due to the spring not being in the proper position within the backplate. To determine if the handle returns to its horizontal position, simply turn it.
